I wasn't expecting any blooms last year because all of my iris were new, but this one bloomed in the fall, making it the first bloom on any of my purchased irises, and what a stunner! I couldn't quit taking pictures of the beautiful golden beard against the rich red backdrop. I highly recommend this cultivar.

Note: In my garden, it had a scent similar to Plah-Doh.
